In the United States, today is Labor Day the first Monday of September and official end of summer. A sort of day off (when many things are closed or close early) in preparation of the long haul through the fall/winter holiday seasons. Fashion people call this Spring-Summer fashion week, or rather month (and yes Spring is shown in Fall), when magazines are cumbersome with advertisements and complaints of the unnecessarity of fashion week are ripe. But the day is most famous for dispelling women from wearing white after or near the first Monday of September. Wikipedia attributes the style standard to high society. In the name of style and being all original, I say wear all the white in your closet, and don't conform to anyone's dress code. Nina Garcia agrees.
